This past Saturday, we attended a Film Festival held by AGYFC. The Cinema managers at Khalidiya Mall was kind enough to allow them to use their cinemas for this occasions. 
So Saturday we went to the movies, bought popcorn, coke, and cappucino, and we watched short films made by youth for youth. The requirements was that youth (13-19years) from all over the UAE make short films on "Red Letters". Now some Bibles like the NIV and the NLT make all the direct sayings of Jesus with red letters, and this is what "Red Letters" are. It was like litterally looking at the sayings of Jesus in the New Testament through the eyes of the teenagers. Some of them were funny, all of them were creative, and there were even some that was heart wrenching.
Might I add that the films were very well done, considering it was most of the young people's first time ever making films. It was truely a wonderful experience, and an amazing way to bring accross the Good News of the New Testament in a most creative way, by youth, for youth. I pray for more oppertunities like this one, to arise in the UAE and spread like a wildfire to other parts of the Middle East.
